Need an amp for MECA event.

I am trying to find an amp so I can stay in the amateur class of MECA. The biggest fuse I can have to stay in my class is 180 amp. I am needing to power a D2 12'' Treo SSX. So my final load is going to 1 ohm. I am hoping to find an amp that will put out close to 2500 rms at 1 ohm but a little less won't hurt my feelings. Anybody have any ideas?

is 2500 watts off 180 amps do-able? You must have some big amateur classes where you are because I'm running AS2 and I'm louder than all the people in AS3 in my area.

Your amateur class is restricted only by power? Must you use fuse or is it just by manufacturer rating? Is it a 30 second average or peak? If it's actual fuse used get a 3KW amp and run it at 2 ohms, or go bigger and run at 4 ohms (those big *** class D amps are most efficient at the higher impedences)

I use the DC 2000.1 (there's a similar amp FS on the forum here un-branded zenon amp) . In our local Amateur classes with good results but I suspect it should draw a bit more than 180A at peaks 1/2 ohm. I've been putting up 145's (on 30 second average) and 148.1 to 148.7 on peak (music only).

A big key is having a meter to find a good song that works.

Ours is you take fuse size and sub size and goes by peak. I'll be AS3 next year and I'm hoping mid-40's after the upgrades. I wish I had a meter to play with but I found my loudest song on an AudioControl, I know the numbers aren't the same but I'm pretty sure my loudest on that will be my loudest on a TL.

You don't have to, but if you don't they find the max rating, here are the rules, page 8 and 10 talk about the fusing rules.

I am needing my power at 1 ohm around 2000 I'm guessing. Which would be perfect for comp.
