Title says it all. I need an amp that is putting out 1500wrms @ 2 ohm. Looking for the best performance under $500.

Sub is a 15" Fi.Q with BP power. Box is yet to be determined, but will be sealed.

Well, I have used the zx2500 and it was an excellent amp. I can only image that the 1500.1 is the same caliber, just a bit less power. They are extremely efficient, and put out good, clean power

AQ 2200 is pretty close to what you want, and is 389.

Go to classifieds and get the Kicker 2500 for $450 if it is still there edit nevermind you need it at 2 ohms, I guess you could be super conservative with your gains and it would work perfectly and be like a instant upgrade for future subs.

or get a AQ 2200 for $389

it does 1300 at 2 ohms and 2200 at 1 ohm

the Sundown only does 800 @ 2 ohm.

I don't want to buy an amp that has 1000 extra watts. Thats just a waste of money.

Tough choice...kicker 1500 for $330 shipped, or Fusion 2500.1d for $275 local.

I have a NIB Solid Audio F2500D if you're interested. Does 1700 at 2ohms, 2500 at 1ohm, and 3000+ at .5ohm if you ever upgrade down the line....and I'm only asking $50 more than you're wanting to spend.

your right about the sundown, I agree that 1k extra is silly

ask member named "Team H&K" about fusion amps he competed with them last year and has bench numbers and stuff

"Well I guess it doesnt matter either way. lol, we bench tested the amp at 1 ohm, @ 12.5 volts. Amp was putting out 2235. I know I have ran this amp in my daily at .33 for about 3 months last fall until I pulled everything out, and it never kicked into protect, barely drew any power off my electrical system and was just a solid amp the whole time. Plus I was driving around playing music in the 150's off just one of these amps. Great amplifier!"

does 1300 at 2 ohms , so the kicker might give you more power at 2 ohms becasue that is what it is rated at (2ohms)
