i am new into car audio and i am currently getting 2 Rockford Fosgate P3SD2 12" and i was wondering what would be the best amp to achieve maximum performance. I was also wondering how i should wire it.
the amp you want , will depend on a few things , 1st your cars electrical , 2 nd your budget .might wanna look for an amp that does 1500- 2000 rms at 1 ohm , which is what you'll want to wire the subs at ,also a little overhead on the amp will be better ,thats why 1500-2000 rms , you can dial the gain back for the power you need and not run the amp hardi am new into car audio and i am currently getting 2 Rockford Fosgate P3SD2 12" and i was wondering what would be the best amp to achieve maximum performance. thanks gary , op i do have amps in stock that will work for your needs , the planet audio amp will work if your subs are d4 subs.but its not a very good amp ,cheap quality ,power hungry ,and it prolly wont do the power they say ,at least not cleanly .anyway i need a budget .If you have d2 subs you're going to need to make your power at 2 or. 5 ohms. I would ask myslows10 which amp he has in stock that will do well on those. He'll do you right
if your subs are d4 subs then down to 1 ohm , and yes it will ,if the subs are in the right kind of boxSo with the 280 one how would i wire it and would it hit hard.
is the box ported ? then wire then to .5 and you'll get more powerits a truck box behind the rear seat of a crewcab.and they are d2 subs
ok so sealed then , any idea of the airspace in the box .and are the p3 subs ,the flat ones ?no it isnt.
