I just changed my Gear oil in one my 98 Silverado Xcabs couple months ago. I change it every 2 years regardless of how many miles I put on it since new. I like to use the Lucas. That truck has 287k on it since I bought it New back in 98. I usually replace parts before they wear out. OCD I guess??

My truck only has 90,xxx miles. Not bad for a ‘96. I’m all about replacing parts but I try and wait til they are needed, lol. I understand though. I used to be that way until my dad said how I was wasting money. Said if it ain’t broke, Don’t fix it. But, that isn’t always the case. So much needed/ needs to be replaced in this truck. It’s a time project though so I’m in no rush. Feels good every time though when I do update a part!
