I've been into car audio since the early 90's, and it's come a long way since then.
I'm just now getting into the science side of it.
I guess my questions are:
Can you have too many components.
I want to add an EQ/Crossover (looking at the AudioControl FOUR.1i), but most only have 1 set rca in. The HU has 3 out, wich one is best to use? How will this effect the epic 160, since it uses the sub level output from the HU.
I have a ton of tuning questions, but I live in Noblesville, IN. and there isn't really any good/helpful installers, they are mostly installer/salesmen if you know what I mean. Most of the people around here who are into car audio, are into the "I'll buy it and have it installed, because I don't know anything about it...I just want tons of bass."
I'm trying to do a fair mix of SQ and SPL, but I don't have a reference car around here for SQ (of course it sounds good to me) There isn't many SQ competitions here. SPL is ok... I hit 148.4 (@ 52 Hz under the dash) at a show early last summer (152.5 at the port when the comp. went outlaw)
Anyway... any help would be much appreciated.
