Need Advice

I want to get my son an amp and speaker system for Christmas. What is everyone going with now days? I have not been keeping up with the new products. This will be going in a 95 chevy stepside. I plan on adding TV and video games. I want good clear LOUD sound. I am not looking for the big BOOM BOOM but I do want it to bump a little if you know what I mean. I would like all advice and input. from what ive heard get a jl w6 and a jl 500/1, it should fit your needs. it will sound clean and if your son breaks it the retail store will replace it. if you don't want to go mainstream and save money i cant give you recommendations cause i haven't heard most brands. i do know the w6 sounds good. you will pay more but it will be a safe purchase and you will know what your getting.
