Need advice with wiring.

AMP: Power Acoustik A2400DB

SUB: (2) Alpine SWR-1242D

BOX: 36Wx14Hx19.5D Ported, 2^3 per chamber, 32Hz

Problem is I do not know what wires I would need. Right now I have a 8 gauge running from battery to my current amp, not the A2400DB.

What should I run from Battery to Amp, also do I need a capacitor?

What should I wire the subs to the amp with?

Any help will be appreciated.

Um.

You should run at least 2 gauge power and ground wires. I wouldn't recommend that you get a cap, but instead, do the Big 3 upgrade on your electrical system.

As far as speaker wire goes, 12 or 10 gauge speaker wire would be fine.

Sounds like it will hit hard BTW.

If that amp pulls more than 150A, then go with 1/0, if not, then stick with 4awg. No you do not need a capacitor. 10awg or 12awg will be overkill for speaker wire, but there is no problem with it.
