Hey guys, I need some advice. I currently have a Mach 5 ixl 10" sub getting ~1krms from my Memphis St-1000d (will do ~600@ 2ohms and 1100wrms @ 1ohm. This is in a sealed .6cu ft box in my 98 Camaro. Anyway, i'm sure my amp settings were wrong and after quite awhile, my sub now has a rattle. I have sorta been in the mood to give something else a try previous to my issue, but I definitely don't need to.
So from looking around here on the forum i've come across several that intrigue me, mainly the SSA Icon, the Fi Q, and possibly a RE SE. I mostly listen to rock and R&B, but I definitely feel the need sometimes to let loose and play some Rap loudly lol, so I need a sub that is musically solid but also has some spl behind it for when I demand it.
With that said, should I:
A) Find someone to check out and repair my current Mach 5 ixl 10"
or
B) Buy a new sub (ones mentioned or possibly another recommendation)
If you recommend buying a new sub, what would your suggestion be?
