what should i go with

I ordered two Orion 10''

and an orion 500watt amp

I was originaly just gonna use one 10'' sub in a sealed box with this amp

should i jsut buy a sealed box for two 10's and use both subs or just one ?

dont forget that the subs are 200rms each at 4ohm

and the amp puts out only 250rms at 2ohm and 175rms at 4ohms

so its either i give one sub 175-200rms

or i use both subs and give them 125rms each.

Agreed on running two, but unfortunately I think you'll be underpowering those subs a bit w/that amp.

I like sealed boxes for SQ and smaller box size, but if you want a little more output go ported. I wouldn't buy a prefab box either - make one yourself or have someone make one for you. There are quite a few box builders on this forum. Do a search, the better ones have plenty of good feedback. The only one I've had experience with here is vitveet. He built my current box and I've been very happy w/it.

yeah i might just go with a single 10'' i wasnt looking for more then 200rms and i wanted a really small setup

the reaosn i ordered two 10's is because thye were really cheap 40$ a sub or 70$ for two shipped

so i got a 2nd one just incase the first one blows lol

but thats when i was wondering maybe just run two

but like i said 125rms into each sub rated as 200rms i dunno

What kind of vehicle will this be going in? Car, truck, hatchback?

I have a friend that has a single PG RSD D4 10 in a Ford Sport Trac in a small sealed box w/half a pound of polyfill @400 watts and it sounds pretty good. In a trunk the output would be a LOT weaker, pluss you'll be running a lot less power.
