I just picked up (am picking up) a Nissan NX2000 (hatchback vehicle) and the stock alt is only 80 amps

I want to run 1200rms daily, 2000rms for comps... but don't have a lot of money for elec upgrades...

will the big 3 be enough or am i looking at a spending the money on a HO?

For comps, does the alt really do anything? it's just battery power right?
