Need Advice: New Audio System

You can trim the wire back some to get it to fit. Or use heat shrink or tape to cover it up. Or are you trying to get 0 gauge wire to fit into a 4 gauge terminal?

Why not mount the cross overs inside the door panel?

Set gains on both of your amps with a dmm or dd1. Sonicelectronix has an article on how to do so, Google it

I have had some very nice xovers damaged in the past/lesson learned, by placing the xovers in the doors, due to water/moisture.Not only that... but a PITA to adjust the tweets from time to time..Best place Ive found is to place them just under the dash on the drivers side and the passengers side,Zip tied to the dash brace just underneath. They also get some air and stay cooler there and are accessible for adjustments while tuning, and out of the way.Or under each seat in the front works fine also.I ruined some really Nice Beyma xovers placed in the doors..Ill never do that again.

Understood. I ran 1 set of speaker wires into each door. It was a huge pain to get thru the drivers door grommet and into the cabin. I don't think I could do it again. With this config, I had planned to store the crossovers in the door and have the woofer and tweeter in the door as well. Now that I am thinking about it, I would prefer to keep the crossovers in the cabin for safety, but if I put the tweeters in the doors this could be a problem.

So I am trying to figure out the best and most practical way to make this work well. That's why I mentioned the kick panel spot I saw posted and looking for safe places to mount the crossovers in the door if I have to.

The truck is apart right now, but I may look into any possibility of doing tweeter mounts somewhere around the dash or maybe the pillars. I don't know.

If I have to put the crossovers in the door, I may look for a place outside of the door metal but behind the plastic door panel. Maybe there is a safe, secure place there. Inside is my pref, but I would need to have the tweeters in the cabin too then.

That ***** man. I've mounted crossovers in the doors multiple times with no problems

Forgot to post images in this thread. I'm not done, but most of the way there. I still need to tune amps and install the full box/amp rack. Here are a few pics.
