I want to line the inside of my box with Vblock (Cascade Audio VBlok Quite-Kote). My box is an r/t medium box for two 12" subs. How many 20 oz cans will it take and how do i go about doing it. What is the basic process for doing this? How many coats? And, any bits of advice that you have please.

Also, how much of a difference will it make. If it isnt a big difference, then i dont want to do it because it will cost 40 to 50 bucks for cans or so with shipping and everything, and that is a lot of money. So, please tell me how effective this stuff is.

Don't do it, it's worthless. The only way to deaden a box that is worthwhile is internal bracing. All sound deadening mat and spray do is add weight to the panel to change the freq that it resonates at to a lower one. For this to have a good effect it needs to be a considerible percentage weight change to have a worthwhile effect. This is good for light metals like sheetmetal or plastics but for steel or heavy wood like MDF. You would need so much of the stuff to have the weight to change the res freq for heavy weight panels. It would be better to use concrete or lead to add weight or more bracing. But because were talking about Speaker boxes you need to add bracing because any flex = lost power.
