I just purchased a 2011 hyundai sonata. I would like to upgrade the sound system without replacing the stock head (it has a lot of integration with the steering wheel controls).

It has speakers in each door (located about half-way up the panel) and tweeters (I assume) mounted on top of the dash at the very front corners. nothing behind the back seats area.

So I'm assuming I need some type of converter to get line-level outputs to a 4-way amplifier. and some sort of subwoofer encloser.

So, I'm not looking for tons of power here (I don't thump down the highway). I just want nice clear sound with tight bass at fairly high levels.

So my questions are.

What converter do you recommend (something simple or one with processing included)?

2. I'll replace the 4 speakers in the door but not sure what to do about the tweeters. (Don't know if I can even get to the wires of the existing ones). The front pillars have airbags in them so I'm a bit wary of mounting anything there.

3. is there a decent sounding all-in-one subwoofer I can either put in the trunk or maybe port up to the area behind the back seats? (something like a powered bazooka unit)?

Thanks for you help
