Need advice for 8" sub

I have 2003 Toyota 4runner. It comes with a factory JBL system, which has been decent. My stock sub is blown, so I'm looking for a replacement. The factory JBL sub is 8", and from what I can tell I have just under 4" of depth in the stock location (which I'd like to keep, don't have room for a box). So, what is the best 8" sub with less than 4" depth? Pioneer makes a shallow mount designed for free air applications and has a very small depth. However, there are a lot of other options like the Kicker CVT, I believe Kenwood makes a shallow mount, and the JL 8w1 should fit as well. Any advice? I'm going to be getting a small amp to power the sub, something in the 100-200 watt range. I'm not expecting big bass, I just want to get back the bass lost from the blown sub. Thanks!

For some reason, you have to take half the truck apart to get to the factory sub. I've not physically measured, but from searching on 4runner forums I've found the numbers to be 3 15/16-4". I'd rather have something with a little room to spare, but that one sub with 4" depth is tempting.

All of these subs are great, but not really going to work due to depth. 4" is my max. I've got a choice of a Kenwood 900 watt or 150 watt amp to power these (can get good deals through work). I'd prefer the 150 due to size and price, but may go bigger to be able to upgrade later. Here are the subs I've found, can you guys make any suggestions as to which is best?

Polk Audio MM840 Mobile Monitor Series 8" subwoofer at Crutchfield Signature

Pioneer TS-SW841D Shallow-mount 8" 4-ohm subwoofer at Crutchfield Signature

Kenwood Excelon KFC-XW800F Shallow-mount 8" 4-ohm subwoofer at Crutchfield.com

Bump, need some more input on this. I'm thinking about a Kenwood amp that puts up 150 wats RMS paired with the JL 8w1v2, just because the JL stuff is always highly rated. I don't see much about Polk or Pioneer. The Polk will give me an extra 100 watts of output, but I'm SQ is my biggest goal and I'm not sure how the Polk compares. Any advice?
