Need advice. can I run a 5 channel amp with 2 different loads at the same time ?

Hello everyone. I need some serious advice..... I bought 4 infinity kappas 62.9i and an infinity 5350a 5 channel amp. I hooked all that stuff to the JVC KD-x50BT head unit and pioneer TS-w303R sub in a sealed enclosure in a Honda civic 2003. The amp does turn on and gives sound for a little while and then goes out. The protect LED comes on and keeps flickring. What I think I might have done wrong is that the infinity kappas are 2ohm speakers and don't do 4 ohm at all. And the sub is 4 ohm and I only have one sub so I could not turn it into 2ohm circuit with 2 subs. So I basically hooked up the speakers at 2 ohm load and sub at 4 ohm load. Given that its 5 channel in one amp, it might have not been able to take 2 different loads. What do you think should be done ? I have returned the amp and am in market yet once again looking for some amp, maybe one or two to drive my 4 infinity 62.9i speakers and pioneer w303r. What do you advice ? what should be done ? should I buy 2 amps or another 5 channel amp ? And if i buy another 5 channel amp is it possible to run 2 different loads on the same amp at the same time (speakers at 2ohm and sub at 4ohm) ?

sounds like a bad amp your ohm loads are good

I have ran 2ohm on front channels and four on rear. sounds like you just had a bad amp

I grounded the **** thing in two different places with same result. I also sanded and grinded until the metal was exposed at the grounding point.

I think so too. Hence the reason I returned the amp. Do you have any suggestion as to what amp i should buy to run this setup. I don't to buy same amp once again. I don't want to experience the same thing all over again. And I did some research on this amp its not as reliable as other infinity stuff. As per amazon reviews the infinity 5350a amp tend to blow out once the warranty expries. lol.. I am willing to spend upto $400 for either one 5 channel or a combination of one 4 channel and one mono amp...

I have bought Alpine MRX-V7 already. Your amp looks nice. But its an overkill for my system and I have limited space in my trunk. That amp looks like a competition level amp though. Thanks for the offer.
