Need a Winter Car

Well, my Escort just got donated to my grandpadre's for the winter, their van took the big shit. My Porsche will be in the shop all winter...

I need a vehicle that will be good in the snow, be able to haul shit (as much as possible). For as cheap as possible. Any ideas on what I should look for?

Not too many of those older Youkons left in 1 piece around here... looking to spend about 1000 to 3000 max for the "right" vehicle. I like the idea of a 4 runner tho.

Ahh, yes, i passed up the opportunity to get a 91 Volvo wagon with the 740 turbo motor in it last year... I'm still devastated. That was a sweet *** car.

I'm basically going to be using this car to do everything while I make money and haul retarded amounts of shit for my job, but then again it has to be small (ish) because I'm gonna need to park it at my college designed for midgets.

Old blazer or Jimmy is the route I would go. But what are you hauling? you said tons of stuff, so it depends.

older toyota say 91-95 pickups are great.....so long as u dont let the engines get hot and u keep them maintained they will run forever.....had one that i ended up getting over 300k miles on it before i had any problems w/ it
