Need a rec. for a 12

Putting together a mild system. Planning on using a tarantula 1250 5 channel amp to power an audiobahn 1200q(I know) that's been lying around for years. But it's a dvc 4 ohm and the amp is 1 ohm stable, so Im getting rid of it and buying a sub that will run @ 1ohm. Looking for a sub that will handle around 6-800 rms with good efficiency. The box is 1.8 cu ft after accounting for the port, and is tuned to 38 hz. The alpine type r is close to what Im looking for, but the efficiency is like 84db. The Cadence S2-Series S2W12 seems like a really good choice, but I've been out of car audio since MMats was still top of the line. Any other recommendations? Any input is appreciated.

Don't worry so much about efficency/sensitivity. They are recorded playing frequencies you won't be playing. Any of the 600-750 watt subs on the SSA Store will make you happy but you really need 2-2.5 cubes for optimum performance.

Thx, Ill check em out. The box is alread built, and since Im getting old, there's more need for trunk space than the extra db's. I did check out the diff. in db with a 3 cu. box on winisd //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif....Had to stop myself from making a new box, then talking myself into getting two subs, then ya know, might as well get a separate amp for lows and mids, then hey, why not get some serious subs...I have bad inpulse control when it comes to car audio.

Sundown SA 12 would be my advice they get loud sound good an take power an very reasonable on the price just a all around good sub.

Yea the sundown sa series would work great or the gcon tho I've never ran the gcon. Or possibly the hds series by sq.
