Need A Double Check On Box Plans For 2 XXX 15"s

This is my first time attempting to design a box, I just used the free calculator on the Subwoofer Tools forum. The box will be for 2 '05 XXX 15" subwoofers. The box is going to be 8 cu ft tuned to 35 Hz. Using the calculator, I got external dimensions of 46w X 24h X 26.25d. It says I should have 208.125^in of port area with a port width of 9.25" and a port length of 45.25". Like I said, this is my first time designing, so those numbers could be completely effed up. If someone could run these through real quickly and make sure that that sounds right, I would appreciate it.

Kevin

P.S. I ran a search and apparently no one has ever built a box for dual 15" XXX's.

you should have 40.7 inches in physical port length and for end correction divide that 9.25 by 2 to get 4.625. add that 4.625 on to the physical length of 40.7 and you get 45.32 (effective port length).

so

with 40.7 in physical port length you box will be tuned to 35 Hz and your XXX's will good BOOM BOOM good luck on the build.

nobody has a box for two xxx 15s aye? don't think so...
i will be fiberglassing my trunk in hopefully a few weeks to acommodate my my 2 subs... box will be 10 cu ft^3 @ 32hz
siiiick man, I did a search and there were lots of designs/builds for 1 15," but there weren't any for a dual set-up. GL with your fiberglass set-up, we'll both be knocking pretty hard in a couple weeks;)

100sq" port per sub is a dam lot, if you wanted you could get by with a good bit less and save some space, you wouldnt be able to tell
blados had a box for 2 15s, 7 cubes i think
thanks for the heads up, I have the room. As long as having that much port won't negatively affect the sound, then I'll stick with it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

actually, I have a new question. Could someone do or tell me how to do this design with a port on each side rather than one big port on the left or right? It would be cool if someone could do it for free for a starving college student, but if monetary compensation is needed, than so be it. Thanks,

Kevin

should just call the shop again... or not, since you dont like me anymore.
