Im starting the build tomorrow. Wanted to start today but couldn't get a design and it started raining. Need someone experienced with ported boxes. This is going in a rodeo.
Subs facing Up. Port towards back.
I can go 38" wide and 22" tall.
Double layer on top so the top will actually be 1.5" thick
I am wanting the back wall to slant up against the backseat so I can get around the same amount as air space but have a little more room between the port and back hatch.
Depth from bottom of seats - 39"
Depth from top of seats - 31.5"
Seat Height - 16.5"
So there is a 7.5" difference between the 16.5" inch tall seat.
I would like to do a straight port instead of L shaped port so there will be more room for the subs to fit on top.
Now on the front of the box beside the port I am going to mount my amps on the box. Then I am going to build out around the amps so they are flush and appear to be inside the box sort of. So the port with actually extend out of the box around 3" so that will affect the tuning some I figure.
Two 15" L7s will be going in the box powered by a Kicker KX2500.
Wanting it tuned to 34 hz. Wanting the box as far away from the back hatch as possible while still maintaining enough port area and box volume. I'm thinking around 7 cubes and 130 square inches of port? Just a guess. You might suggest different.
Would like to have the subs kind of diagonal to one another instead of side by side. Like this:
Would like a sketchup and a list of all the board sizes.
Would be awesome if someone would do it for free but if not I understand. I can send $5-$10 if needed.
