So I need a box design for my 18" Fi Q in my 05 equinox. These are the dimensions I would like to use, and the width and length are max, but there is still more room in the height but then it will go above the backseat and I would rather have it not. The dimensions are 34Wx26.5Dx20H

W=Width

D=Depth

H=Height

If possible I would like to have cutsheets made as well, but if not its fine.

Also tuning from 28-30 should be fine

Using the measurements that you gave.

34" x 26.5" x 20" That's 10.4cuft Externally

 

It's 32.5" x 25" x 18.5" - Internally ( 8.67 - 8.7cuft )

... After the port displacement (1.8) and an estimated .5 sub displacement. It's 6.4 cuft internally.

 

The cutouts are:

 

Top: 34" x 26.5" x 20"

Bottom: 34" x 26.5" x 20"

Front: 28" x 25" x 18.5"

Back: 34" x 25" x 18.5"

Side1: 25" x 18.5"

Side2: 25" x 18.5"

Port: 6" x 18.5" x 42"

* Go back 19.75" D, then bend left 22.25" - Keep 6" between the port and enclosure walls *

Oh man i hope that 6.4 cufeet internally is enough, do you know what the tunage will be on that and would you recommend any internal bracing?

Since the port is wrapping around, personally, I wouldn't.

... You could always double baffle the front.

Make a partial faceplate: 28" x 20" - This will cover the entire front except the port.

Well I downloaded google sketchup and tried to make a sketch, i had to adjust the dimensions because i wasn't sure exactly on if i could make a 3/4 inch think line but is this generally how it should look? and i wasnt sure on if you designed it to be sub up or sub back so i didn't add the hole in.

... I know that a single 18 isn't goin' to be .5ft3.

I did that to give him alittle more box volume... Plus the tuning of the box isn't goin' to be that low ( Since it's actually not .5 ... more like .16 - .23 )... Tuning is goin' to be ~32hz... Which I prefer to use with this particular sub ( Brand that is ). I had an 18" FI Q in my 4 runner, 7cuft. @ 33hz...

So STFU! Before you bash someone... bash yourself.
