Need a 5 volt power supply

I've got a hard drive that I'm running (using it with a 690UB) and I have supplemental power coming from a car charger 5v (around 500mA) hooked into the power port. However, I'd like to hardwire this rather than use the power port since I need that for my phone.

I've been searching but with no success - I need to get a 5 volt power supply to my glove box and would appreciate any products that would do the trick nicely. 500mA of power is enough as the drive is getting some power from the USB port but not enought to spin without the supplemental power.

Since you have an adapter already, just add a socket. Tap into your cig lighter from behind to power it and run the socket to wherever you need it. Then just pug in the adapter that you have.
