Narrowed it down, now help with the rest

Basically I'm trying to decide which components to get for my car...I've seen so many on here that its crazy. I'm kind of trying to decide between Focal, Alpine, Memphis, Diamond. Yesterday I just heard the Focal 165KF with the Alpine PDX-4.150 on a showroom board, and I liked the sound a lot. What are your guys' opinions??

Diamond D661s $229.99 (woofersetc)

Alpine Type SPX-177R $239.99 (woofersetc)

Memphis MSQ6 $289.99 (woofersetc)

Focal 165KF $379.99 or Possibly 165KP $479.99 (little pricey though) It looks like it shows that the KFs and KPs have the same power handling and same speaker charecteristics. The difference is that the KPs come with the same tweeter as the K2Ps (TN52) where as the KFs have the TN47 tweeter and that the KPs have a sandwich cone woofer. Is that worth the extra $100 ??

Either gonna run the Alpine MRV-F345 , MRV-F545 , or PDX-4.150

Thats not one of the choices. I do not know enough about car audio to DIY. Thats why I've narrowed it down to these choices. I would like to hear peoples opinions and why they have that opinions. Thanks

I love the Focals. I have the 165V2's, so I couldn't say whether the upper ones are worth the extra.

the alpine type r's tweeters are way too bright for me (almost ear piecing at high volumes), i hear the type x is better, but never heard them.

I'm almost sure that I'm set on the Focals. When I listened to them on a sound board in a big room, they sounded great to me. It was the 165KFs with the Alpine PDX-4.150. I would imagine them in a car would be even better. Just for shits I also listened to the Alpine Type S, JL Audio ZR, and high end polk audios all on the same PDX amp. I definately like the Focals the best. I have listened to the memphis audio MSQ6's and liked them, but its hard to compare b/c it was on a PR series memphis amp that was only 50x4. Kinda hard to compare speakers when one has 100watts more then the other. So I guess its between....

Focal 165KF

OR Again, still debating on 125 x4 or 150 x 4

Disregard what you heard in the board that will never give you an accurate feel of what the speaks will do in a car. Of the choices that you put up I would say the Focal KP's but for about 450 you could do the Rainbow Germainiums which rock very natural tweet not harsh like the Focal. Yes I have ran both in my car. I have since changed my Germainiums but If I did not go up on the line I would still be running the Germs.

I've heard the new diamonds were not the best quality compared to their old stuff. I listened to the 165KF and the 165K2P powered by the PDX-4.150 and honestly, I liked the way the 165KFs sounded better. Again there is no way to actually tell what they will truly sound like until they are in the car, but comparing them on the sound board I thought the 165KFs sounded the best so far. How did you like the Focals when you had them in your car? What kind of power did you have going to them?

No. I think the Type X instead of the Diamonds.

I take it your a big fan of alpine...how come type x over focal or any of the others?
