Never used nak but they're quality stuff. Just have a tendency to break from what i've heard.

for sq i'd go with the nak over pioneer. Unless you step up to the high end pioneer units

Can't agree with the sold out statement. Sure they have crappy stuff, but they also have really high end stuff. Nothing wrong with playing both sides of the market

They had the choices of selling out(like all the others)or going out(as in out of business). I'm also let down by there move to Vid/Nav type HU's, but there's hope with the new 80PRS, thoe it's FUGLY! It should sound good.

I had one about 10+ years ago. Very clean with near zero control over the sound. I then went over to Alpine for less than two years, as I never could get 100% pleased with the sound. Then came my audio bliss, Pioneer! 7~8 years back I bought a 860(smoked the Nak and Alpine), then two years later I got a 880(smoked the 860), been using a couple of 880's for the last five+ years. The first thing folks say when the ride with me, is HolySh*t this system sounds good!

FYI, The CD400 sounded nearly as good, but only with a BUNCH of AudioContol EQ's I was also using better amps(Linear Powers).

I have the cd400 hooked up i like it because its plain and simple i might get an EQ

So i can tune it better. My sub is sound loud i cant even hear the music haha
