If Illumination is connected, they should still turn on, just not the display itself IIRC.

Man, I had to go out and check. At first I thought Don was wrong.

But he is right - Engine/ACC on, 880prs off, lights off: the 880prs displays the clock.

Then turn on the headlights and the blue lights light up, even with the unit still powered down.

The lights on the head unit light up when headlights are on without turning the head unit power on. So that's correct?

i'd get a 799x, some of the best HU's and they're pretty much green. not to mention you get to let everyone know you're an OG

looks like the illumination with the headlights is normal. Not like it would hurt anything but good to know.

Headlights = head unit illumination on the 880 PRS, even when it's off
