My very first system.

I'm wanting to build a system for my 1986 Mercury Capri GS and I have made a list of what I want, but I am not sure if this would be a good system, I would really enjoy your feedback, thanks.

Head Unit - Pioneer DEH-P5800MP

Components Front - Momentum Cadence 5.25In. 2-way 100 Watt RMS

Component Rear - Soundstream XTS5.7 6x8 180 Watt RMS

Component Amp - HIFONICS ZXI8006 4x55 Watt RMS + 1x200

Subwoofers - 2 Cadence Q12W-2 300 Watt RMS each

1 Image Dynamics IDv.3 8" 300 Watt RMS

Subwoofer Amps - 2 HIFONICS Merlin HF Warrior 300 Watt RMS @ 2 OHM

y get a 5 channel for ur comps? and also, y do you have 2 different kinds of subs listed?

you should definetely buy a 4 channel amplifier for your from "components" and then get 1 mono amplifier or (1) 2 channel amplifier for 2 subwoofers. never mind brands of subwoofers... what are you thinking about doing that for???

well... first ditch the rear speakers and use the money to properly drive you front speakers, get a better amp and go with the IDQ...

once you've ditched the rear speakers you only need a 4ch amp... you can run the comps of the front two channels and bridge the rears for the sub... maybe you'll end up with enough cash to upgrade the HU too

ohh yah, some nicer speakers wouldn't hurt... what is your budget?
