Hey guys I finally got my 12" soundsplinter subs in. SoundSplinter customer service is awesome. Mike replied to all of my emails and even offered to help with his knowledge. My install was very simple and easy. Everything was ready before the drivers came.

The box I got for free and fits nice in my Camaro. I added more caulk inside to make sure there were no leaks. The drivers will have 1.2 cu ft per chamber after displacement.

Finally got it in my car all hooked up and ready break in.

As you can see they are hooked up to a Hifonics BX1500D. Gain is up only about 1/4. I let them break in for about 2 hours at low volume before i went to work.

Well, that is it. This is so far my favorite install Ive had. These subs are very musical and pick up the higher frequencies much better than my HC did. They are very precise. The double kick drums in my rock music are extremely defined. With the bass CD in these things are amazing. They pick up the lows with ease. My car shakes like crazy even with only medium volume. I still have not turned them up that loud because my speakers cannot keep up with them. Next thing I plan to get is an amp for my comps. Anyone who plans to get these will surely love them just as I do.

I had one quick question. Will the sound of these subs change if I build a wooden block for each chamber to reduce the volume from 1.2 to 1.0 cu ft?

WTF. webshots is being gay. When I search for photos they dont come up. But when Im logged in I can see them in my album. Im going to try something else.

Sexxy looking subs. Nice job on the box - almost perfectly flushed in there. Any comments on the setup, does it wang? And yeah, hid those wires when you get a chance. Im cleaning up my install today.

Hey from a performance standpoint, the extra weight back there should help you catch more traction to those rear wheels. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Looks great!

Carpet was nicely done on the box and the subs look dead sexy. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

Thanks for the comments. I wont be hiding the wires until I get a second amps for my comps. I dont know if the weight adds too much traction because I can still do cookies with four people in the car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. I love camaros.
