Yea, thats Mecha Godzilla
Well I'd call this a build log except that whole idea has been nothing but trouble for me since I created the Ark "log" (not a log at all as there have only been 1 or 2 pictures in there.) I am also incredibly slow at these things, I make Req look like the Energizer Bunny when it comes to completing a build. In short, don't get your hopes up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
What I have going here are two fiberglass pods to hold a pair of 12" PPi Pro subs. As you can see in the pictures, I am still adding layers of fiberglass the outter cloth. I was thinking I only needed 6 layers or so since there is a lot of curvature, but it's looking like I'll need a bit more to get it as stiff as I want.
In between I have my Diamond amplifier, which will eventually be attached to a board between the two woofer pods that will serve as the amp rack. I had a scare a few weekends back when I finally installed the amp WITH wiring.... I was pretty sure that the additional 3" or so that the 0 gauge stuck out the ends would make it not fit..... but as you can see, I was smart enough to give myself room back in the planning stages //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/graduate.gif.d982460be9f153bb54e5d4cb744f6ae8.gif
The woofers will recieve power from another Diamond D7 series amp but it will be on the opposite side of the board from the 6-channel job you see here.
Here is a normal view..... my car was hit by a haboob the other night.... covered in dirt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
...a little closer.....
The passenger pod.
The driver's pod with test-fit of sub.
...and finally a little closer to the amp. It sounds really good so far btw.
Well I hope Mike1 and Devillian are happy, they bullied me into this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif
