Would that brace you have in the "middle port" affect anything?

Brace in the last picture concerns me. Should rotate it 90 degrees so it doesnt restrict air flow.

Yup, going to guess that is just a temporary spacer to make sure the line stays the same width throughout when building. When I built a t-box like this I used quite a few of them during the initial build and ripped them out along the way.
