I'll be inside and my subs just start hitting hard and my amp won't turn off so it's overheating

I have two kicker comp r's 1200 rms peak and a 2400 watt kicker amp 1200 rms peak with 0 gauge wiring I have a stock unit with a line converter my remote line is plugged in my fuse what could be the problem

Yes what Jeff said. Did you install the converter yourself? All I've installed have come with a mini harness, one of those wires (blue or blue+white) is remote. If it wasn't in there or for some reason got bypassed its ok. Just pull your HU out and connect the two. use solder at best, at least crimp butt connectors. No stray wires.
