My subconsole idea

alright so my idea was to place a sub/subbox in the floorboard/console of my truck...I have a 1994 Ford F-150 regular cab..its a benchseat, and there not actual console in the center, front of the seat just a raised area in the floorboard. There's a good ammount of space from the floorboard to the bottom of the dash..ill take pics later, would it be possible to place a sub here? I was wondering about sq...spl will anything be affected...i really need pics, ill take em tommorow..

it is definitely possible to do, but I have no idea how it will sound, may sound good, may not, but it is worth a try, I have heard of many people doing a center console sub setup but never actually heard one, but give it a shot and see what happens

Hey steven, great to see you post here and im planning on fiberglassing....but I myself cannot do this. I have no expierencing and I dont want to mess things up...so I was thinking about finding someone that would be able to do it. Here is some shots of the console.

Stephen... I was thinking of doing something similar as well. But, does having the magnet inverted cause any problems with the electrical components in the dash? Or cause any unwanted EMI/noise through the radio?

I dont know if it will work guys =) just look at my sig.get racing seat, if u have too.

Ive seen alot of F-150s with Bench seats. They usually have small boxes in em but u can run 2 10"s. I know a guy who had 2 10" Jl W3s. behind a bench seat he mounted the amp right under the window...
I have a 84 F150 Reg cab..If this works id be VERY interested in the outcome. Either way though..I have one twelve behind my seat. And could fit another if I had another box..I dont know about the newer stuff but the 84 has gobs of room..Ive only moved my seat up one click or so.

I've actually had better results with the sub up front than in the rear. It doesn't effect any of the electrical components, and I get fewer vibrations/rattles up front. I doubt it would effect the radio, but to be honest I've never tested it. I don't listen to the radio, and don't even have the antenna plugged in.
