Alright guys, i have an Alpine head unit with 2 pre amp outputs. I have a 4 channel amp already in my car, hooked up, working and everything for my 4 speakers. So the 4 channel amp is all done with.

I have a 2 channel amp to power my subs, and distribution block, and a cap. How would u guys set the new stuff that i have up, and keep my old stuff there to? Just how would i add it in for the easiest cheapest install? (power wire to distribution block then split to the cap an amp? or what?)

Plus, for my 4 channel amp, i have a 60amp fuse up by the battery, and my 2 channel amp ill do the same. My 2 channel amp has 4X 25 amp fuses on it. Ill have the 60 amp fuse up by the battery, what size should i put in the distribution block?

Thanks a lot guys in advance.

1. What gauge wire do you have for your power and ground?

2. What amps do you have? Model? Power ratings?

3. Return the capacitor.

4. You want the fuse at the battery to be what both amplifers add up to.

5. On the distro block, put it close to what the amp is rated at.

I cant return the cap.. i need the cap. Every place has told me if i dont, my lights will ficker, so thats not an option.

I have a 600 Watt Jensen 4 Channel amp (2X 25 amp fuses on side) 60 RMS X4

Power Acoustic 2 channel Amp 980 Watt (4X 25 amp fuses on side) 560RMS X1

I have 8 guage wire, running for the 4 channel amp.

I have 4 gauge wire for my other amp, and cap.

I had the 4 channel amp installed professionally by autosound plus, so im assuming the fuse at the battery is correct. Im assuming im going to be having two wires run the battery. So ill have another fuse for the other amp at the battery.

How many amps would i want for the distribution block? and what should i do with my setup?

You dont need the cap. Is your lights dimming right now? If so, do the big 3 first. For what you have right now, a single run of 4 gauge from your battery to trunk will be good.

Read this and look at the diagrams.

In the picture below, the ground doesnt need to come straight from the battery. The ratings on the fused distro block is just a figure, it's different for every amp. You would need another RCA from your head unit to the second amp if your first amp doesnt have an aux. out. If you want to add fans or any other accessories in your trunk, you would need a relay on the remote wire.
