go read up on the JL website. the Slash amps have built-in LOC's moron. so before you spew out what you think is right do your research so you know what you are talking about.
second, i bought the car with navigation, and it came with the BOSE system. they dont sell the car with Navi and no bose system. and you're a retard if you think a 2volt deck will pump out as much as a 5volt deck. I have a 5.5volt deck on my other car so i think i know the difference when i switched the amp from one car to the other.

Seriously for every 10 smart people on this site there are 45 uninformed idiots with street-ricer knowledge they learned at the k-mart parking lot meet.

Actually If gains are set correctly you should not notice any difference between 2.5v preout and a 5v preout. Gain is used to match the preout of the HU. So yea of course if you take out a 2.5 vpreout from a deck and insert a 5v it will sound louder. But you are suppose to be resetting your gains to do this.

What I'm saying is you're very irresponsible with your money. Be honest - do you make 6 figures? If so why are you throwing away your money on goods and a vehicle that is/are going to depreciate like crazy? Right after point of sale you are losing 25-50% of the value on those subs and amps depending on how much you got them for. Hopefully you got that JL gear at rock bottom and not from a shop - since you have money I'm assuming you're at least semi-smart with it.

The reason I said you might be spending your parents money is because of how irresponsibly you spent it on overpriced gear. It's not cause I hate you or something - just your decisions are dumb. Most wealthy people know the way you become (and stay) wealthy is by being wise with your investments and your capital. My dad told me a story once about how he was managing a hotel that one of the Rockefeller heirs came to and he saw the Rockefeller keep his change. Rich people are frugal, that's how they're rich (unless they're absurdly rich). You totally missed the point of what I posted. You made some really bad business decisions here but whatever it's your life enjoy your shiny stuff - it's material goods that you paid way too much for - this is obviously your hobby but otherwise i'd say you're filling a void in your life.

You also bought JL speakers. Did you research this shit at all?

There are endless jl debates on this forum and the last thing we need is another one. If anything, let this be a lesson to him. I paid full retail for some JL gear a couple years ago, and while I'll never ever do that again, there's no way in hell I'd get rid of it either, and on top of that it's lasted me for a very long while; much longer than some of the other brands' products.

Cliffs: He's already spent the money. Quit lecturing. JL is good, if you think not then get over it. So what he paid more than he could have... it's his money.
