My SAZ-1000D sucks!

Thank you, I agree. But what some people don't seem to understand is that some people, like myself, have no interest in learning to build a stereo system. I have no desire to put down my own deadening, strip/crimp cable, or tweak the gain settings on my amps. I have money to pay someone who does this for a living.
That's what I did when I had my supercharger installed, too. Sure a good wrench head can do it, but Id rather pay a professional to do it.

Now, I'll play with my gains to see if I can get some decent results. But I will still take it to the shop for a proper tuning and for the installer to double check my wiring of the amp and sub. Kinda thinking about swapping out my components for the Image Dynamics XS series. Not sure yet.

I didn't expect so much animosity for someone who likes car audio but would prefer to take it to a shop.
Why exactly are you on a DIY forum then? Im sure the guys at your local shop could give you advice and suggestions like us.

Like said above, the animosity you are receiving is due to your incredibly dumb thread title. The reasoning has already been explained to you.

Since when is this a DIY forum? This is called CarAudio.com, Serving the car audio enthusiast. And according to the description, this forum is "General car audio discussion. Covers all aspects of car audio."

There's nothing on this site that references how-to, as opposed to DIYMA.

Besides, who really cares what the title is? You're ragging out because of the title? Really?! Is that all it takes for you to soil your panties? A silly thread title and you're just beside yourself? Why don't you grab another wine cooler and watch some High School Musical? It'll make the bad man go away.

How hard is it to rewire a sub, it's common knowledge, not rocket science.

They have wiring diagrams that show u how to wire it, just follow what it says.

If u can't grasp the simplicity of that ur dumb as fuk and shouldn't own any caraudio equipment.

U did graduate from highschool right?

I would have more respect for you if you would admit that you screwed up. Don't act like you can't understand why your title is so fvcked up now that it has been pointed out to you.

You can't possibly be that dumb.

So its easier to 'rag' on me for pointing out the lousy thread title you created than it is for you to just admit the title sucks? Or, do you stand by "my SAZ-1000D sucks" as an appropriate title?

Perhaps if you were a local small business owner who one day saw a large billboard claiming YOUR business sucked, and upon stopping and looking closely, you realize in fine print at the bottom it says "just kidding", you might then realize what a dumb idea making this title really was.

Are my panties soiled over it? Not really, I dont even own a single Sundown product nor have any stake in that business. But I do enjoy pointing out other people's stupidity. Thankyou for providing me with this opportunity. You are now free to move on to the Mustang boards and ask them how in the heck you change your oil in that store bought super charged car of yours. Im sure they will be glad to help such a devoted enthusiast as yourself.

Cheers.

You know what... you're right. You've helped me out in the past and here I go getting whiny myself. Last night I tried to change the title but it didn't let me. A mod will have to do it, I guess. I'm sorry. I'm just having one of those days.

I'm a fan of Sundown. Jacob is an standup guy. I try my best to support small businesses. I have bought four amps from him. Now I'm looking at buying a set of Legatia L61-2 Pros. Not sure about that, though. Those are $900. Add $250 for install and it ain't cheap.

My car is my passion. I've put almost $20k in it so far in aftermarket stuff. No, I don't change my oil, either. I drop my car off in the morning and I pick it up after work. $40 for an oil change with Mobile 1 synthetic. It's a time thing for me.

These boards are a trip though. It's easy to bandwagon bash, like the 18 year old accusing me of not graduating high school. Hell I'm more than twice his age!

It's all good. I made a thread about my oversight of the ohm load of my Mag. And it went all to hell. I'm thinking about heading to a strip club and getting some lap dances. Loves me some lap dances.

So are you satisfied now with it? I'm considering a Mag for my niece's car but am unsure how good a single sealed 12 can sound in a trunk.
Coming from two JL Audio 8W7's the Mag is not as overwhelming. The 8W7's were in my face! I didn't mind, really. But the Mag could best be described as a refined substage. Very accurate and musical. It's best attribute is the way it compliments the front stage. It works with it, as opposed to being more present.

It's not a sub I would recommend for a bass head. It isn't quiet, but it isn't vulgar.

Kinda hard to describe the sound. Different than the JL's and my old Kicker C12's.

That sounds reasonable. And I think we've all had those days before. Ive had my fair share lately too. Thanks for being stand-up and saying this. Furthermore, I apologize for my 'stupid' comment etc. I get carried away sometimes.

Thats exactly how I would describe the Mag. Its not quiet, but not overwhelming. It makes your mids sound beastly and gives you real upfront bass.
