Schools get vandalized and having a report about people around a school late at night will definitely get the attention of Mr. Policeman and his friends. Don't play there!

That said, I figure you'll get something less than the full ticket, perhaps a reduced/suspended fine, having the case dismissed by the DA or having the judge find you not guilty. Good luck on this and hopefully you don't press your luck anymore.

Take note that city parks often have hours they are closed so be wary about moving your game to those places.

If you want a tag game, get CB's in your cars or carry walkie-talkies. Have one person hide and see who finds them first. It's a game some of my friends used to play 25+ years ago and it can still be fun today! You can use all publicly accessed streets and parking lots as your playground. Knowing your territory will let you be tricky too! A little-known dirt road that looped underneath a small bridge on US 101 in Coos Bay was a perfect place to hide as few people knew about it but when the "seekers" drove around with their S-meters pegged to see where you were, they were totally mystified.

No. It is publically available but still owned by the government. You still can't just tresspass on roofs. The judgement to climb the roof was idiotic. PERIOD. I am glad they harassed and ticketed you. Everyone is alway so **** innocent. Cops are always assholes. Whateva, get a clue.

No. I don't. I see it as a recreational activity, just like playing tag.
Both provide cardiovascular execise to the particpant.

Is it because skating is a "lifestyle"? You are right, I do not get how a terribly ineffecient way to get somewhere, or going round-and-round in circles, or jumping various objects is more of a "lifestyle" than playing tag. I have yet to find someone who could articulate what this lifestyle is all about...the resort to things like...well since you don't skate, you don't understand....I believe it is because of the Apple Jacks line of reasoning...you just do....It isn't a function of enlightenment, but of preference.

i agree with what you say.. being that you have not got to the point or even tried none the less.. but once you get good at skate boarding it's more of a challenge. on what you can do, how you do it and wether or not you are going to pull it off and bust ur ***...

The difference is, skating curbs and rails is vandalizing. It destroys the property.

the next time i grind on a curb and it crumbles under my feet then its vandalizeing..... there is hardly any damadge other the wax on the curb or rail that is done by skater's.... you get ur stupid kiddy skater's out there that vandalize shit cause there board... i see more graffiti anywhere and everywhere then property vandalized by skateboarding...

i'll have to sue the school next time im out skateing.. i walk on the side walks.. the sidewalk wear's out my shoe's.. vandalizeing my property...

yeah i used to skate and i even disagree with you...so when someone installs a nice new couple hundred dollar brass or similar hand rail its ok for you to wax it up and then ding and scratch it all over?

In many states, one cannot sue for damages while in the process of committing a crime, ie trespass.

there are pleny of skate parks around here to keep me entertained....

i think when they put those stupid little metal bar's on curbs to keep kids from grinding on them is retarded.. looks uglier then the grind marks on the curb.. then where they bolted down the metal tab's. water and elements get in there and weather the curb's..... see where im going with this...
