Never hurts to run over the surface with some denatured alcohol after using anything with mineral spirits or similar solvents. If the surface isn't oily to the touch, you aren't going to have any problems.residue as in oil residue?
i removed all that gunk peel and seal left on the doors of my accord with goo gone(sp?) and applied the bxt. all i can say is that the deadener adheres to my door really well and it's been through a hot *** summer. just giving you my side of goo gone but i didnt know about the stuff left behind.
This shows the rear upper shock mount on the left and the wheel well on the right.dunno anything bout that? could you explain or post a link bout it
Haven't completely decided. Some sort of composite of mat, foam, probably some acoustic fiberglass blanket I have and maybe lead sheeting. Needs to be removable. I'd like to get it done in the next week or two.i really like that struct cover idea, i think thats where most of the road noise is coming from, i gotta ask a friend to hear it out when i drive on the highway.
how are you planning to make that cover?
Makes a HUGE difference, unless you are going for pure SPL. If you are looking to stop noise and improve SQ, do it.fiberglass sounds like a good idea ... i got 60sq ft of 14oz clothsound deaden on inside and outsite of the mold with enosilte over the deadening
does ensolite help alot? im thinkin bout ordering more and puting 2 layers over everything.
