Nice to see somebody else that doesn't care about looks...

Another n00b theory in a long line of them. Get a proper distro for power and ground, loom and secure the wires. Can't wait until the nut (//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif) comes loose and you've got a nice little light show in your cabin. Then we'll all be treated to a thread asking everyone what went wrong.A chasis ground is a lot of resistance anyways, and everybody does it. This is just my daily boom, so I'm not sweating it. Once I get my other strand of wire so that I can run my ground to the battery, it will change![]()
Calm your e-penis down. As stated, the ground WILL NOT touch anything positive. You'd have to mess with it youself to see, the wire is too stiff. I change my setups often, so I don't feel the need to make it pretty. It's mostly all hidden by the seats too:naughty: If I had something more open like a suv or trunk, then I'd care more about hiding the wires. No honestly bro, it looks terrible, the wires need to be cleaned up. That and itself, if anything touchs your pretty much screwed.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif That wing and nut terminal is plain stupid if you ask me. Just do us all a huge favor and do it right. Plus you were saying you have alot of corrosion on your battery? It's called water and baking soda my friend, gets it all off.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif I just put a new distro on it. As I've been trying to state all along, it's not much of a hazard.Seriously, screw your amp; we're talking fire hazard here.
I totally agree with the + issue 100%. It's the fact that it's a ground and it will not touch +, unless my power wire's coating melted. My ground wire is not car audio wire, it's stiff stuff. You know i used to think like you until i seen a buddy's trunk catch on fire....
and a few corrections.. if that was a postive you would be an idiot for not using ELECTRICAL tape b/c if it touched ANYTHING connected to teh car that is metal, seat belt bracket, seat bracket, screwdriver , you woudl be seeing sparks.
and whoever said to use duct tape for electrical tape true DUCT tape had tiny metal strands in it that makes it conductive ... i do admit ive used it before ,but it is a much better idea to use electrical tape
ps after a little reasearch i found that only certain types of duct tape contains metal so i dont guess its that big of a deal.
good to hear... its not that everyone is just hating on you, they're just looking out man... high current electricity is nothin to fux with and safety should be a pretty big priority... belive me, its well worth it to spend the extra bucks and take a little extra time to do it right and safe, plus it will look better.. much eaiser than cutting corners and learning the hard way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifAnyways, I decided to put the grounds in my disto today![]()
I'm actually about to go to school to be an electrical engineer, believe it or notgood to hear... its not that everyone is just hating on you, they're just looking out man... high current electricity is nothin to fux with and safety should be a pretty big priority... belive me, its well worth it to spend the extra bucks and take a little extra time to do it right and safe, plus it will look better.. much eaiser than cutting corners and learning the hard way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
