My PG Xenon 600.1 amp

sarc22 - no.
you are right, the amp doesnt know or care how many speakers it sees. What it does do, is put out a consistant ammount of power at 1-4 ohms. not per speaker, not per ohm, that is the total ammount of power it puts out, period.

if you have 4 speakers, regardless of load from 1-4 ohm, they will each get 150 watts.

Otherwise, EVERY person in car audio would be running xenon amps. Can you immagine a 400 dollar amp that can put 1200 watts to ANY number of subs in the world, so long as you wired em to the correct ohm load? not possible.
Thanks!!! not sure I understand but I am definitely not an EE so I will not worry about it.

Sorry if I confused anyone else on this thread.

Yes but....NO
True, but simplified. For the analogy given, it works.

If you want to explain further, feel free.

Also, im not fully up on the Xenon line, But I believe these suckers actually put out arround 800 watts RMS. It was in another thread arround here, as well as one in the birth-sheet thread.

And Type R = SQL. and quite frankly, for a major market brand, a hell of a woofer. OP will not go wrong with a type R. or many other subs available to him

why not go for the 15" Type-R at that.... 800rms on a 15" R should get it enough juice to get it moving, and you can always upgrade the amp if you wanna feed it more power
