my old alternator in my new car?

I used to have a 99 Grand Prix 3.8 in which I installed a 275a singer alternator in.. I just sold that car but I took the entire elec out and put the stock one back in. so now I'm wondering if I can install that alternator into my new 06 Buick lacrosse cx 3.8? I know I'll need the 4-2 pin converter wire but will the casing fit? I'd rather ask incase anyone knows than go through the trouble of taking it out. any answers are greatly appreciated

I feel ditzy for not coming up with that myself...
Even if it doesn't fit you can always send it back to singer to get re-cased.

Not the cheapest solution, but you have to see if the vehicle is regulated by a regulator or pcm or both.
