I guess I'm the newest member of the type r bandwagon. I figure you guys have seen alot of pics of the r's before, but I thought I'd share. Pictures don't do this thing justice, it's even more sexy up close and personal

I picked up the supplies today for the box, it's getting built tomorrow(yes I'll post pics of the build and finished product). today was mostly upgrading my wiring since I'm gonna be running my speakers and the woof.

nice. what kinda box you building?

I was gonna go with a design from accelerator-pedal.com because of the way my trunk is, but from what I hear it's not that accurate. so I think I'm gonna go with one of moe's

nope it's one of a pair of sony's. I bought them off my cousin brand new for like $30 for the pair lol. I played them for like two hours and they were poop. Yes I know sony is junk but I figured for $30 what the hell. Since then they have been good ole dust collectors.

I got an idea, who wants to see both of them go head to head with wall sockets, and see which one lasts longer?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

Your woofer cutout seems a little big for that piece of wood, it might be alright if you cut the hole out after you assemble the enclosure.

Ya know, I was thinking the same thing, but I've seen people's pics on here with the same box and it seems to work ok. But now that you brought it up I'm second guessing it. The sub is about 25lbs. and there's not gonna be too much wood there after the cutout which is 10 7/8". Do you think this will be good enough? Or do you know of any plans I can get my hands on tonight that will work better?

The front baffle will be 12" tall, and your cutout is only 10 and 7/8", so you will have 1 and 1/8" left over which will be fine. Be sure to get it dead center on that 12" plane, because you should only have 9/16ths of an inch on the top and bottom left over.
