My new sub box/amp rack

Here is a quick pic of my newly-carpeted and wired sub box/amp rack.

It houses two 8" subs firing down.

I just need to figure out some type of trim plate to cover up the wiring area between the amps. It would probably look better without that ugly stock "subwoofer" in the back wall, but there is a huge hole in the carpet for it and I really don't want to carpet the entire rear wall.

Maybe carpet over the stock sub?

I've been tossing around the idea of cutting a piece of 1/4" clear plexiglass to screw to the top of the amp rack. Then, I'd mask off and paint the underside of the middle section black. When installed, it would hide the wiring.

My only concern is cooling. There is very little room in the box to mount fans.

Maybe I could make a panel to cover the wiring only and leave the amps exposed?

Any suggestions?
