exactly. i want about a 81-85 chevy to thrash. about 10" or lift 40" to 44" tires, cut the wheel wheels/fenders, straight axle of course, 454, 12 bolt, everything a true truck should have. mine will never see the mud. not the chevy anyway. maybe if it serves a purpose, point a to point b in moderate stuff, but not intentionally. definitly the snow though.i dont know about u guys, but i sure as hell wouldn't use a brand new truck to go off-road.. id buy a older piecer i could care less about

i think i am going to put the iroks on my truck. my chevy that i have right now. for now i have the bfg muds. i think in about 6 or 7 years i will be ready for the mud. just cant do that to a brand new truck. it has the right stuff on it to do that, just built for the street though with no intentions of the mud.same for me exept
12" lift mre if i can swing it
i want 2.5 ton rockwells
front and rear steering
49" irock(tsl swampers)
454 bb all the way
and many other mods that i cant get into right now
If you're driving on the snow, a high chassis lift is shooting yourself in the foot. Better to have a moderate lift (2"-3") and keep the CG low...exactly. i want about a 81-85 chevy to thrash. about 10" or lift 40" to 44" tires, cut the wheel wheels/fenders, straight axle of course, 454, 12 bolt, everything a true truck should have. mine will never see the mud. not the chevy anyway. maybe if it serves a purpose, point a to point b in moderate stuff, but not intentionally. definitly the snow though.
yea, but its all i have. i had a bronco with a 10" lift and 40"s. my dads old burban with a 3" lift and 32"s ran circles around it in the snow. also with no weight in the back of it, it is kinda light in the rear and likes to oversteer quite a bit. bags of cement are good for that i found. the point i was making was that is far as i am willing to go as far as making a mess out of my truck. If you're driving on the snow, a high chassis lift is shooting yourself in the foot. my brother has a vac. house in the snow. between my brother, dad, and myself we have had over 20 lifted trucks/suv's. i knew what i was getting into when i lifted it as far as the snow driving goes.
