i just filled up my Wrangler I got 17mpg out of it....

I have a miles per gallon computer on my overhead, and it tells me the average. I reset it. and got 23 MPG on an hour long trip. However, most of my driving is city, and my average is about 18. Its the inline 6 4.0. And whoever said it was on demand 4 wheel drive, you're correct. I was reading about Quadra TracII today, and read about the transfer case.

not so great mileage...and I don't believe you when you say "all time 4x4"...
it should be an "on demand 4x4" which is the quadratrac

quadratrac is AWD, slectrac is shift on the fly 4x4 with both full time and part time 4X4

for the WJ the laredo only comes with the slectrac, all other modles have quadratrac

and yeah the MPG are gonna blow goats with that AWD, also the viscious couplers are prone to failing in the AWD modles! but where hear to talk about car audio!

oppps, you are corect, quadratrac 2 is ondemand. its 98% rear 2% front untill a wheel slips

i just filled up my Wrangler I got 17mpg out of it....

and its supposed to get 15 city, 19 hiway... so you are right at average. not 2-3 over now go sit in your troll corner please

You can find laredos with other TC's besides selectrac. There is also quadradrive which is slightly better than QTII, so NOT all other models have quadratrac.
