installing them in ~1cf. sealed fiberglass kickpods

running them passive on 200w rms until next summer.

woofers are 6dB rolloff @ 800hz

tweets are 12dB rolloff @ 4,500hz

and the mids are gonna be bandpassed from 750-5,000hz

they're gonna be powered by an opti500x2.

hmm ... i think mounting location (as always) will be most critical. that mid a 750 Hz will still leave a lot of localization info to the woofer. a 3 way kickpanle would be killer though. i have done that before with a Dyn 3 way in a MT car. sounded awesome. good components, now find a good place to put 'em

oops, did not read the part about seald kickpanels. looks like this should be a great sounding combo. when you get it all in there, playing with the crossover settings will pay huge dividends, and i think oyu will be totally surprised by how "high" your soundstage will be. the speakers at ear level thing is really overplayed and you will get so many more benefits from the smaller PLDs. good luck!!

how or where did you get the crossover made for it? Those are all 8ohm IIRC, are you sure thats where the rolloff points are going to be. It looks good if you can get it to work, the mid and tweet may be a pain to install cause those HT tweets and mids are always deep.

Parts express has tons of pre-made crossovers.

Check under pro sound, as well as 2-way and 3-way sections.

I'm already saving for an active bandpass filter, but the passives were only $40 a piece, and were basically exactly where i wanted my x'over points anyways.

And as for location^^ yes, my plan is kickpanels. I really need to see what i'm dealing with once they get here, tho. If the speaks would have to be a clusterf#ck to fit in a single 3-way kickpanel, i'll do a 3-way doorpod.

All 3 drivers WILL be right next to each other, however i need to do that.

Thanks for the comments, guys, i'm psyched. I've been hearing nothing but good about the morels, and i can't wait to try 'em out. I couldn't justify the price of the morel woofer, tho. The aurum cantus was 1/3 cheaper, and performed BETTER, plus it has a closer matching sensitivity, and huge x-max, so it should perform nice sealed.
