^ x2; As above, there has to be some wasted space there, it doesn't make sense mechanically to have a sub that deep. The depth on that rivals even the RLS, does it not?

k ill have those up tommorow...heres a pic of the cone and I agree with the wasted space...with the cone and the motor..iono why they did it...design appeal...who knows i just bought it to try it out...and ive heard nothing but good things...

That 12" probably has the equivalent cone area of an 8" or 10" subwoofer.
