My new CSCStang T-Line

Chris worked with me a lot on this to get it to fit in the area I had available, and to be sure it sounded great. Single 15 With an American Bass XFL-1544. Previously had two Soundqubed HDC-208s in one of his T-Lines, and I thought that was nice. This just blows the old one out of the water, both in SPL and SQ. The range obviously goes lower with the 15, but I swear even the upper bass notes are clearer and it just gives a more overall flat response. Couldn't be happier!

Old T-Line next to the new one. Holy crap, what a size difference!!

Its new home in the back of the Excursion.

i love tlines but it gets increasing harder with low VAS drivers. how does it sound and what type of frequency response are you getting?
It really does sound awesome. I'm exaggerating a bit, but the difference between the old and new is almost like listening the the THX intro to a movie with a 2 channel stereo vs a 5.1 surround. As far as response, I couldn't say just yet. I have no measuring tools to actually say how flat the response is, or how low, but I know there are songs I have listened to in the past on two 10" in a sealed, and then the two 8" in a t-line, which are completely transformed with the 15. The depth of some of the notes was unnoticed before, but now it seems like the sub just keeps playing lower and lower. lol I do plan on playing some tones to at least see what the perceived low end is and where it starts to really drop off.

I'm curious about the tuning of these T-Lines...what freq is yours tuned to and what are your subsonic settings? Does the sub unload below he tuning freq of a T-Line the same way it does for a ported enclosure?

No it doesn't. The roll off is a lot more shallow. It'll hit a lot lower even if the tune is a bit higher. Many times you can actually go without a subsonic filter.

very nice I want one.. but what the diff between t-ling and labyrinth ported box looks the same?
T-line is straight port all the way through. If it has an open airspace with a long port mimicing a T-line, it is still technically a ported box with a long port (low tune). I believe the extra airspace just makes it peakier at where you tune it but you lose bandwidth. There's also a tapped/folded horn design that's technically a t line but not flat all the way through like how a 1/4 wave T line is.

actually it plays a half octave below easily.

not the same at all. labyrinth is just a ported box nothing special. In fact its less efficient than straight ports and L ports with all the corners it has. It still has a airspace chamber and a long port

While T line is ONLY port. No chamber. WAAAAY bigger than a ported. If you can fit two 12s properly ported, you can only fit one 10 In a T line to give some perspective.
