Built this box last night:

My question is...I'm putting two slim line rockford 10's in here...how much space do I need between the magnet and the slanted, or back, portion of the box?

In other words, can I center the speakers on the flat front portion? Physically the answer is yes...they will not hit the slanted portion once seated.

However, I gain more clearance between the magnet and the back of the box if I place the speakers down toward the bottom of the box when I mount them.

Will this usage of space during mounting make a difference in sound quality? I built the box according to recommended cuft requirements...so once I've done that does it matter where on the face I place the speakers?

Thanks in advance.
