6" Ports...

(1) 6" = 28.26 in^2

(2) 4" = 25.12in^2

All depends on what you need/size of box. Some people say the size of the box doesn't matter on port area, but to each their own I guess.

Also, remember aeroports allow more movement of air the slot ports -- so less is needed.

So you think a single 6" port would be more susceptible to port noise compared to two 4" ports? The only reason I want to use a 6" is because it would fit better between my 2 subs...I only have 40" wide to play with and right now the 4" ports are crammed in between...

A 6" port has twice the velocity of two 4" ports. That's a fact. Chances are you will introduce a substantial amount of port noise. If it's in a trunk, who cares? But if it's sharing the same airspace as you are...

I thought less port area is more prone to port noise? I would assume there is a limit to how big you can go before encountering problems or down sides...

You won't have less port area if you're doubling the amount of ports.

no less chance. more port area and a better perimeter vs. area ratio. people have done this before and have seen gains. its more about the space you are working with.

God so much bad info on here from people who think they know.

A 6" port has less surface drag and is more efficient. A 6" aero will have less noise than 2 4" aeros cause less surface drag on the air and a larger diameter opening will reduce chuffing.

The black rca out is your mono sub output. That is the one you would use for signal to your sub amp.
