im just interested in the wiring, if it was working fine..then all of a sudden went up, thats pretty crazy.

I had a Audiobahn 2200hct shoot ~6" flamed through the holes for the fans...twas pretty cool.

last night i was driving home ... when all of a sudden i hear this high pitch boom and then flames started to rage from my amp ... **** i was scared as **** ... i got this installed by a professional shop ... they better be able to fix this ... **** my whole truck almost started on fire if it wasnt for the fact I was just down the street from my house ... oh yeah and my amp was a brand new ... kicker kx 850.2

If your local audio shop does nothing then that sucks. But I think they will put the blame on you. Take them to court. I would love to see this on Judge Judy some day. I want to know the whole story.

and if you really have to... send the amp back to Kicker, tell them what happened and see what they say. and yeah, I think it had to be the wiring some how. I had wires messed up (I think) and next thing I knew, my trunk was smoking. I got lucky tho, I got a friend to fix my wires... didn't deal with a shop.

this rich kid i went to college with had a spl set up in his denalia (or whatever it is) yukon something or other, he had two memphis 15" subs and some memphis amp, mojo maybe. that he got to light on fire. o well just went to the bank (aka parents) and got money buy another one. and this was all done at a local shop
