my mouse/comp just went stupid

So I hop on my computer and no canges have been made (read: intentionally) and my mouse wont click on links that open in new windows. Anyone know why? It brings up the clicker hand, just doesnt open them. I have a few important pm's on another site and it comes up in another window....

Try right clicking and clicking open in new window.

Also try pressing ctrl when you click on it. (Left click)

popup blocker or background program going batty?

some days when i try and type certain letters/symbols, firefox pulls up random menus

i think apostrophes bring up the 'find again' box

sorry to thread jack, but this is kind of on topic...

does anyone else have a Microsoft Intellipoint mouse, and if so, do you use the standard mouse button layout? i'm just curious as to whether or not i'm the only one that changed my mouse buttons around from the conventional layout?

Are you running Norton Internet Security ? If so, you probably have the pop-up blocker enabled ...

well the little thing that comes up saying the pop up thing works, is saying that the pop up is allowed, but it doesnt come up? Ive put it on low security, and still nothing. Tried the control thing, nothing, tried opening in new window, nothing. It usually does open in a new window, and usually has the little warning up top, but nothing......

i've had this happen and since i'm a computer dum dum i just restarted and all was good. sharing computer with old senial folks FTL. my comp has many many problems which is why i'm gonna get a notebook and keep with me.
