I think thats a bit harsh. He's just trying to do his own thing and make cash doing so. There are alot of customers out there who have no problem buying from one of these fast food type audio shops (ierefab, common installs).
There's this place down here. Called Senor Stereo, it's extremely over-priced and they have such limited stuff. Anything REMOTELY high end is out of their reach.
They don't have 0 gauge, or even 2 gauge. I asked for 2-gauge inline fuses and they looked at me and kinda chuckled and said, 'We don't have that... but we have a 200-amp curcuit breaker?' I didn't even bother to ask the price. It was probably like $250 bucks+ knowing those guys.
I was forced to get 12-gauge wire from them, and I asked for six feet. The guy put two arm's length, and said that was six feet. It wasn't even 4.
But, yeah. Miami sucks for Audio shops.
Oh, and good luck starting your shop, man!
